IRCC Launched New Processing Tracker Tool for Canada Spousal Applications

IRCC launched a new permanent residence tracker tool or portal. As per IRCC website, at this time, this tracker is currently only for people sponsoring or being sponsored as a spouse, partner, or dependent child.

This new tracker is aimed at providing updates on application processing and tracking some sort of application movement in the system. At this time, only the following can create an account and benefit from this new tracker.

  • Sponsor (the person sponsoring)
  • Principal applicant (the person being sponsored)
  • Representative (RCIC, Immigration Lawyers and paralegals, or Notaries of Québec)
  • Designated individual

The following information will be required to create an account as a sponsor or principal applicant:

  • Unique client identifier (UCI) or client ID
  • First name (given name)
  • Last name (family name, surname)
  • Date of birth
  • Place of birth
  • Country of birth

The following information will be required to create an account as a representative or designated individual:

  • Party ID
  • First name (given name)
  • Last name (family name, surname)

As usual, on the safe side, IRCC has kept its discretion at the top and mentioned the following in the note:

  • the information presented through the tracker by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is subject to change at any time before IRCC makes a final decision on your application, and
  • there may be some delays or differences between the actual progress on your application and the information shown in the tracker
